Reads for Labor Day - The Ring's List by Jade Nicole-Bracken
Description

Having spent the whole of the 1980s in jail for a murder he did not commit, Steven M. Johns sets out to find the real culprits. Obtaining a list of potential suspects from a fellow inmate and with the help of his beloved Uncle Reg, Steven’s search for those who framed him takes him south to the English Home Counties and west to Florida’s Gulf Coast. But he soon finds himself caught up in the dark world of a mortgage fraud and money-laundering ring of epidemic proportions.
Undeterred, he soldiers on in his quest to track down those responsible, but the collateral damage resulting from the culmination of his investigations leaves Steven wondering whether there was in actual fact any semblance of truth in the old adage “blood runs thicker than water” after all.
